I took these years to soak up these first weeks, months, and years of her life. I captured SO MANY images of my daughter and even ventured out and bought a camera. I loved taking images of all of her firsts, the giggles, the messes, and literally everything! I thought to myself, if I enjoy capturing her, I should do this for many others. I wanted to tell a story in the images I captured for people. These moments truly go so fast and these are moments you can never get back but cherishing them through a photo you get to keep close forever is so special.
Fast forward to 2019, I found out I was pregnant with my second daughter. I was overjoyed. I began to remember my birth experience with my first daughter and how I didn't know I had a voice. That was the first day of the journey that would lead to my passion for birth work.
February 2020 came upon me and after 2 hours of active labor, a mean transition, and one last push, the cry of a brand new baby was welcomed earth side. The feeling of empowerment and love swept across me as I laid eyes on my baby and thinking to myself "Wow! I just did that!!" This day solidified my passion for the process of childbirth and the innate power of our bodies.
One year later, I quit my 9-5 job and decided to jump into Doula training. June 2021 I became a certified birth doula. I will never look back.
With all of that being said, let's grab a coffee or a meal and talk about how I can support you through this journey or document all of the specials moments for you!
I live in Brandon, SD with my fiancé, father of my children, our two fur babies (Maltese and an Aussie/Collie), and the three most important people of my life, The one little boy and two little girls who look up to me and know me as "mom."
March 20th, 2016 I discovered I was pregnant with my first child. I was 17 years old finishing off my Senior year of high-school. I of course had many emotions running through my mind. My daughter was born October 31st, 2016. Being a naïve 18 year old girl who had just given birth, I had zero idea I could advocate for myself on many things during my birth experience.
